Diverting streams and peeling trees – cultural heritage in the Öewersauer Nature Park
6. October @ 9:30 - 14:30
We will take you on a hike (5km) along the Sûre and on the heights of the region where we will encounter relics of traditional farming.
On the one hand, we will focus on the UNESCO World Heritage Site of traditional meadow irrigation (lux. “Fléizen”). On the other hand, we will explain the oak coppice farming that still characterises the landscape today. We will also emphasise how these rural farming methods benefited from networks and infrastructure measures.
Registration required.
