Guided, historical and educational excursion

As part of the year commemorating 80 years since the Battle of the Bulge, the Öewersauer Nature Park and the a.s.b.l. National Liberation Memorial invite you to follow in the footsteps of the 26th US ID ‘Yankee Division’ from Eschdorf (Hierheck), via Lultzhausen, Kaundorf (bomb monument), Liefrange, Mecher, Nothum, to the Schumannseck, a national place of remembrance. These sites are part of the Council of Europe’s Liberation Route – Cultural Itinerary, with the support of Visit Éislek.

Most of the tour is by bus, with the exception of the walk along the Schumannseck memorial path (approx. 2 km: bring shoes and clothing suitable for the wood).
