The idea of building a water amusement park in the region took shape within the framework of the Interreg IVA project “Blue Spot-Hot Spot”, which concerned youth tourism amenities on lakes and rivers in the Eifel and Ardennes.
The aim is to offer tourist activities that are attractive particularly for families with children and raise their awareness of the topic of reservoirs and drinking water. The possible location – Bavigne – was selected during the preliminary planning phase.
The municipality Lac-de-la-Haute-Sûre responsible for this locality has already given its agreement in principle to support the project. The planning – which is being done under the EU-funded Blue Spot – Hot Spot project – is expected to continue to progress in the near future.
