Misery bridge, the bridge with the ominous name has given rise to many stories about “miseries” that are supposed to have befallen the region’s inhabitants; however, the origin of the name is not completely clear. The “Misärsbréck” wetland is a national nature conservation and bird sanctuary area. Attentive and quiet visitors can discover here the diversity of nature on various hiking trails. The wall in front of the pre-dam with its large fish pass can be reached after a short walk.
