Family activity: Pollinators on the farm

10. August @ 14:00 - 17:00

What do insects have to do with agriculture? A lot! The pollination service provided by insects for agriculture is estimated to be worth between 100 and 200 billion euros per year worldwide. Without insects, our plates would be pretty empty.
In our workshop, children (and their parents) discover the importance of pollinators for food production, the importance of pollination and how they can support insects.
Together we will also fill a large insect hotel to provide another habitat for the wild bees in Knaphoscheid.
The activity is organised together with the educational farm Um Knapphaff as part of the project ‘D’Naturparken zu Lëtzebuerg – (een) Insekteräich’.

Registration required.
