As part of the 80th memorial year of the Battle of the Bulge, the Öewersauer Nature Park invites you to a day trip on the subject of ‘Life 80 years ago in the Battle of the Bulge’. This excursion will focus on the lives of the inhabitants who were directly affected by this event.

8:00 am Meeting point in Esch-sur-Sûre, place des Jardins

From here we will take the bus to Bastogne (B), where we will visit the ‘War Rooms’ museum.

For the lunch break, the bus will take us to Boulaide, where a good lunch awaits us. Afterwards, we will visit the open-air exhibition ‘Our Common Heritage’ in Boulaide.

Our last stop takes us to Schumannseck. There we visit the former mass grave.

Between these main sites, we stop at other interesting places on our tour, where our tour guide, Marianne Thilmany, has many stories to tell about this terrible time.
