The many expanses of water in the two nature parks of the north are ideal for fishing. A fishing licence is required for fishing in all waters in Luxembourg. The waters are divided into inland waters and border waters, and different fishing permits are required for them.

Apart from the Upper Sûre reservoir lake and the Mittelsauer, all inland waters are privately leased, and in addition to the fishing licence, the leaseholder’s fishing permit is also required. The fishing licence is enough for fishing on the Upper Sûre reservoir lake. For the border waters (Our) the fishing licence is also sufficient.
